This is our Hustler Switcher available in 1"/1.5" scale. Both units have the same details. Both units are great pullers with dual motors. Sound options are available. Styled after a 1960's HO scale engine these units look great and are easy to move around. Overbuilt with heavy deck plates and an all steel 14GA body.

Our 1.5/1.6” scale GP7/9’s are a great choice for pulling power utilizing one 500 watt 24v motor per axle and they really get the job done. With sealed ball bearing journal boxes for a smooth ride, a four motor setup will have many advantages over a central one motor unit. You will have a lowered train CG with motor weight directly on the wheels plus a traction motor setup like the real thing. This setup also opens up cab space to have a fully detailed cab interior instead of looking at a noisy gas engine or an ugly battery. Don’t forget there is also deck space for an option air compressor. Why fuss with a ton of different U-joints, gear drives, Belt drives and all the associated maintenance with these items when you can have a vastly superior and EFFICIENT traction motor setup. You will see increased run times as well…
Our all steel engines utilize 14/16ga removable long and short hoods for easy access and can be equipped with a DCC Loksound unit for notch up, horn and bell. An amp and supwoofer also notches up the experience and adds to the realism.
Kits: We are working on kits for our 1.5’/1.6” locomotives starting in Q3 2026 so stay tuned. GP7/9’s will be available first with different side skirting options as well options as well.
Blomberg casting kits for TIG welding will also be available.
